Morning! Hope I’ve not been forgotten ... it’s been a while. Went off track over Christmas, a little too much - old symptoms of fuzzy head etc returned.
So today 8.9 :( dreadful but all the Christmas food gone and I’m ready to get back to low carb - I feel so much better.
Hope to catch up...
7.4 again :arghh: I’ve had a good few low carb days so can’t understand it ...
Changes: started blood pressure meds (that’s now 119/67 so good!) and given up drinking red wine :) wondering if lance needs changing - honestly don’t do it very often - or the batteries in my meter?
Yesterday was...
Just give it time. I’d say after 2/3 weeks of low carbing you should see a reduction. If I have a carb fest (burger and chips on Tuesday :arghh:) it will take me 4/5 days to return to normal levels.
Keep going!
Try to test as soon as you are awake for an accurate FBG - some people even do it before getting out of bed, I keep my testing kit in bathroom and test just after getting up.
7.1 .... not a winner today. Good low carb day so blaming it on the cold - either that or I shouldn’t have given up the red wine! Onwards for another good low carb day, sausages in the oven :)
Has anyone successfully made a low carb tarte tatin?
Have guests next weekend and as much as I love a cheeseboard it would be nice to have a change. Am thinking this would be good - with homemade ice cream (I’ll just have plain cream).
Thank you
