Thanks for your reply....
I really have no idea. My Mom had died a few months before. She'd had dementia for over 10 years, I was her only carer and it was pretty full on over the final few years but her death was more of a blessing than a tragedy for me. It also meant I could start regaining...
All I am "claiming" is that my consultant cannot attach a label to me any more and has withdrawn all my medication and the need to test (unless I feel the need of course).
One thing I have learnt on this forum is that no 2 people are alike. We all have different BG readings, we all take varying...
Only by 0.1 and the blood sample was not taken during fasting as it should be.
Your hba1c figure is absolutely pointless to use in any kind of a comparison with mine.
The consultant deals with all types of diabetic patients not only those that are insulin dependant. As I said I will monitor my BS over time especially if I feel any difference.
Last year I posted this thread.....

Only got to see the consultant again last week and the latest c-peptide test came in at 2.8. hba1c is 50. He confirmed that on diagnosis 4 years ago whilst in hospital...

If it were me I would be stocking up on a small shipping...

Most family sized (2-4 beds) vans are on the 3500 limit however...
I used one similar to this for a road trip and plugged into the mains when at hotels. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Oypla-Coolbox-Portable-Electric-Summer/dp/B07TS7F8NH/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=240V+Cool+Box&qid=1644069520&sr=8-5
I also discovered it keeps beer and wine cold as well. Result!:)
What is your diet like?
I am on Low Carb Diet which has not only improved my BS but also drastically reduced my Insulin intake. I check my Ketones often and they vary between Low and 1.0 depending on what I eat. There is no harm in having such levels and it also helps with weight loss which I...
Unfortunately some of the above is incorrect.
Yes you must test every 2 hours but if the reading is 5 or less you are advised to just eat a snack.
If the reading is less than 4 then you should not drive till 45 minutes after your next test of 5 or above.
If at any time (whatever the reading)...
