    No guidance

The only guidance I got was the usual cut down on carbs and sugars. Also to treat myself once or twice a week otherwise it will be hard to keep to any regime. I find if I do not eat late at night my BM is in double figures in the morning. This is quite common. Keep the weight down and reduce the...

Type 2 Should I Classify Myself as ‘In Remission’?

I sometimes think I am in remission and on occasions boarder on hypo even when I have broken out then bang, back up again. So as long as I stay in a reasonable range I am happy.

    Pasta and Italians

My clinic says it's ok to have a treat once in a while otherwise it is hard to stick to a healthy diet. Consider this meal out as your treat. If I don't eat before I go to bed my bloods are higher in the morning than if I have had a treat like a meal out. It's a long road so take it handy.

    Favorite singer

I present a programme on local radio so listen to all kinds and favour none. Imelda Mays new album is worth a listen. It is very different to her previous stuff. I also promote local bands and artists. Marie Gardner is worth a look on YouTube.

Dawn Phenomenon - question for you guys waking in the 5's

The Somogyi effect, also known as the “rebound” effect, was named after Michael Somogyi, the researcher who first described it. When blood glucose levels drop too low, the body sometimes reacts by releasing counterregulatory hormones such as glucagon and epinephrine. In a normal person insulin...

Apple Cider Vinegar On Tv Tonight

I'll stick to the odd cider. Bulmers do a low sugar one in every pub in Ireland but I couldn't find the Magners equivalent in England

    Finding Employment With Type 1

I would give the same advise to anyone in your circumstances, T1 or otherwise. While you have no financial obligations go to college and train in an area that suits you as you will be working for at least 45 years. Stay away from debt and educate. You will reap the rewards later.
