Prediabetic - only diagnosed due to my pestering of the GP to test me as I wasn't in an at risk category, most likely based on BMI.
15 years working as a specialist biomedical scientist in the NHS. Specialising in Haematology, including transfusion, haemoglobinopathies and immunology.
2 children - I was diagnosed with GDM with my 2nd pregnancy, though likely had it and was undiagnosed with the 1st due to her being so chunky at birth.
I have mainly been low carbing since 2017 but have been trying out what works and doesn't work with me when it comes to how my body processes carbs. It's all very interesting and confusing at the same time.
