Hey thanks all for your advice and for listening. I haven't been stressed as such just a bit down and out. I kind of feel rejected and that I'm no good. However I'm not dwelling on these thoughts as it doesn't do me any favours and is counterproductive.
I didn't split my animal insulin no...
It's nearly half eleven and all I want to do is sleep but again I'm forced to eat. I have had low bs all day but with no reason for it. I tried animal insulin and failed, the pump isn't available on the Isle of Man yet.
I'm going to stick at this but some days geez it just gets me down some...
Signed!!! Maybe sign the other petitions too including animal insulin being available and discrimination against diabetics driving HGV's!!
I would have done a petition against diabetics diving too but people just thought sod the system and went diving without informing people of diabetes...
LOL. No my consultant didn't know about my insulin either and basically it's a guessing game for me too. I've tried 12 units today (I used to be on 18 units Lantus) but 12 units is still too high I think. My BS at the moemnt is above 18mmol so I don't feel too good. I might try 14 units...
Hi Twinkwasser, thank you for the IDDT link. Another user passed this on a while ago and it is this that made me make the decision to go on animal insulin. The site describes the allergies to GM insulin and I feel I fit the bill with 9 out of the 11 or 12 allergic symptoms there.

Hi well my bs are running a bit higher than normal but I can live with that for a few days. I am going to up my Isophane tomorrow morning from 10 to 12 and if that is still too low then 12 to 14 but see how I go.
I can honestly say (and I'm not imagining this), I feel better on animal...
OMG looked at the link and the diabetic clinic said.... "oh it may last about 12 hours or something like that.. but we're not sure". I asked if it peaked at any time and DSN said "basically nobody really uses this so we are not sure I don't think it does but you will get some information in the...
Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me about Porcine Isophane and Porcine Neutral.
My diabetic clinic provided this for me last week but despite having numb toes lack of sleep due to night hypos etc. the doctor gave the usual 'your fine go away' attitude. I had to spell out I wasn't fine and...
I'm just getting back into photography actually. My boyfriend got me an SLR professional camera. Once I figure out how to use it, it might be a wonderful excuse to go walking. Actually I've been walking a lot recently because the weather has been fantastic where I am. It's just when it gets...
BTW the link to info on animal insulin and the possible changes for the better is below:-

I also suffer from memory loss and automatic pilot but currently I'm putting the fact that I can't concentrate at work and I forget what I have for...
I wish i could but... admittedly I'm afraid of the change. The thing is I've been fighting for animal for a long time. It is more expensive to produce animal insulin and the majority of pharmaceuticals want eventually to discontinue animal insulin in place of GM modified insulin.
For many...
