    Eating Out

Does anyone else struggle with eating out!? My diagnoses changed from type 2 to type 1 back in May so I am fairly new to working out carb contents etc. Originally I was on fixed dose Novorapid but this wasnt working for me....one day I'd have salad for lunch, the next a BigMac. The diabetic...

    Type 1 Effect of antibiotics

Thank you. I am under medical supervision. The burn was left open originally then covered due to a blister forming. Since the cellulitis diagnoses it had been left uncovered so we can keep an eye on it. Saw my practice nurse yesterday and seeing him again tomorrow xx

    Type 1 Effect of antibiotics

Thanks for your response. I did think the infection might cause issues. Been very up and down. I had to pull my car over earlier as I felt unwell and read a 2.8. Last night I was 14.6 for no known reason. This evening up to 19 [emoji22] I will keep a close eye on it x

    Type 1 Effect of antibiotics

Long story short...I scalded myself last Wednesday with a just boiled cup of tea. It's quite a large area of my leg and although preliminary outlook seemed good it has now blistered and I have cellulitis for which I have been given antibiotics and antibiotic cream. I just wondered if I should...

    Hypo help...

Thanks kitedoc. My diagnoses has only recently changed from type 2 to type 1 so I am still at the stage where my nurses and I are trying to get insulin levels right. I've had a number of hypos recently which we're looking at. Some are due to me having very low carb meals but I'm finding it hard...

    Hypo help...

Thank you all for your replies. @Scott-C I really think you are onto something there as I have suffered hypos then when checked after the advised 15 minutes, retreated then I end up going into double figures!!

Thank you :-) I'm going to have 3 and see how it is. I always find myself going far too high because I think I over treat so was just looking to see what others do. X

My bg was 2.3 @ 21:18. I immediately ate 5 jelly babies. Just tested again @ 21:35 and it's only rose to 3.6. Should I repeat the jelly babies? Thanks Jamie x

    Uncertain Diagnosis...

I was diagnosed type 2 5 years ago. After changing diet and trying various medications, my gp put me on insulin as my hba1c kept rising. Finally referred to a consultant when my hba1c was 117. GAD and cpeptide testing done. Cpeptide very low and GAD over 2000 so diagnoses changed to type 1 and...

Glutamic Acid Decarboxylase Autoantibodies test result...

Hi h884 Thanks for asking. It's going ok but my levels have been really high over the weekend. I was put on 8 units of Toujeo daily and 4 units of NovoRapid with each meal. I need to send it across to the nurses on Wednesday morning and I'm fairly certain there will be some adjusting. Feeling...
