Diagnosed with diabetes in January 2019 following blood tests after reporting significant weight loss. Blood sugar was just under 30mmols, Hba1c a mere 148!!! Type 1 and LADA suspected but after yet more bloods it seems to be Type 2 happily.
Fast forward to May 2021 and in turns out I'm a LADA after all. Probably the reason I couldn't get my glucose level down to normal levels no matter what I did or didn't eat.
Still only on oral meds, not requiring insulin yet thankfully. I guess I'll have to keep a closer eye on my blood glucose now.
