    Vids on youtube!

Hey all, I've been on here for a while but don't post frequently! I was thinking about doing videos and uploading them up to youtube. These videos were going to be aimed at those who have diabetes or if you know someone who does. The videos where going to be: reviews, blogs, do's and don't's...

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

Not sure if it's too late but did you let the student services at your University know about your diagnosis? If you're going back or doing resits then you can get extra time and they take you diagnosis in to account when marking your papers and coursework.

How much exercise do you do?

I do quite a lot of walking. I normally walk to uni and back everyday. That's just over 6 miles together with text books and my laptop. Not really exercise but I suppose it makes me healthier in the long run.

    My geeky spreadsheet :)

I do both! I check my sugars about 5-10 times a day since I started my spreadsheet. Glad to see that I'm not the only one doing spreadsheets though. I've started making graphs forcertain parts of the day. I've noticed that my sugars are a little high at lunchtimes because of these graphs.

Do I have more than 30 Years?

I know this thread is quite old but for those who are worried shouldn't worry too much. My girlfriend read something like this at Uni and the information given is a shock tactic to make you take care of yourself more than anything else. The leaflets/info books say: "IF YOU DON'T do this then...

    Mini Fridge for insulin

I got mine from Argos but it doesn't make too much noise. If you put your ear right to it you can only just hear mine hum but it never kept me awake. I can't remember which one mine is though.

    My geeky spreadsheet :)

Hahaha I've started to do one of these myself in Excel. Right now it's only like a trial. So far I only record the dates, times and BS readings with a comments section. Also, I have a cell which calculates an average of my last 90 days worth of data

    Mini Fridge for insulin

I am a Uni student myself and a minifridge is good enough. I'm assuming you'll be living on campus. You may have to talk to the accomodation managers and tell them that you need a fridge because some Unis don't let you have them in your room. Hope this helps :D

    Mood Swings in Men

I have had VERY drastic mood swings myself. When I last went to my doctor he said it may have been because of big swings in blood sugars. I remember one time in uni, one of my pens were on the "wrong" side of the table. This just set me off :/ Thankfully, I'm on a different insulin now and...

    can some one help ??

I do a multiple injections a day as well and I can't say enough good things about the book "Carbs and cals". You can also get a carbs and cals app for your phone so you don't have to carry the book around everywhere
