I use Tee2 system cos that is what my GP gave me and I get strips and lancets free. Luckily my diabetic nurse mandated testing for me on tablets and now I am on insulin it is imperative before taking a dose. But I am in the U.K. so rules are different here.

I would die on that diet. I could not live without beans and lentils as I eat no red meat at all and most fish. I only eat salmon and that is expensive. I can eat chicken but I get sick of it if I have it too often. Eggs and cheese allergies.

I was started on gliclazide 3 months ago and it is much better than Metformin for me. I still find high readings with Metformin but the gliclazide helps to lower mine. I am seeing my diabetic nurse next week after another blood test and hope she will just keep me on gliclazide.
