Thanks ChrisH5 that's make me feel so much more confident about going. I'm going for 1 month only next year, but the following year it'll be 3 months away. So hearing you made it 9 months is fab [emoji4]

    diabulimia

Hi @sarahpench as many have already said it is great you're working hard to get more information & awareness out about this issue! As heartbreaking as it all is I can also say I know just how easy it is to be drawn into that way of thinking. I have never put myself at risk, but I remember a few...

    Type 1: Prescription fine

Hi @Auckland Canary I know exactly how you feel on this one! I get so frustrated with the process at my GP surgery. I am unable to see my DSN without making an appointment to have a full set of bloods taken 1 week prior, even though my DSN doesn't always use them & it means extra time out of...

    Type 1: Prescription fine

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're having @molivers73 but I am very glad I read this post as I didn't realize it was something that I needed to update etc. I just thought it was something I might of received when I was first diagnosed (in 1995) & that was it! No one has ever questioned...

    Omnipod

Hi @Meghalton That's exactly what has put me off a pump in the past. I am super clumsy lol & I just know I would get it caught & ripped out constantly! I am 28 & I have been a diabetic for 21 years now. What about yourself? :) xx

    Simple android logging app recommendations?

Hi @asa35 At the moment I only use it for myself as I don't have a very good relationship with my DSN. Every time I see her she remembers absolutely nothing about me & it's like we're meeting for the first time :meh: But yes it is a great app & has really helped my track my levels :)

    Simple android logging app recommendations?

Hi @Westley I also use 'Diabetes:M' like asa35 above. I highly recommend it, It's so simple to use & gives great charts & graphs to show your patterns. Hope you find something that works well for you :)

    Omnipod

Hi @Meghalton I've been looking at the Omnipod too. I've not tried a pump before as all the ones my DSN has shown me haven't looked great. But the pod looks like it could be easy to work with. I'd be really interested to hear what you think of it if you do decide on getting it :) x

    Injecting

Hi @dookie Yeah @noblehead is right, once you've done it a few times you'll get more confidence with it. Handy tip, make sure there isn't anything on the tip of the needle as you inject as I find that makes it sting a little, just tap the pen/syringe just before you do it :)

    ANNOYING

Super annoying isn't it!! I worked in a pub years ago & one of the guys there admitted he didn't care if someone asked for a diet but he forgot & gave them regular, He said they if they're on a diet 1 normal drink won't kill them & they shouldn't be so fussy!! I pretty quickly jumped in with...
