    I agree with you in veggies. A lot of research I have done recommended fresh vegetable and some fruits and protein foods like tuna etc. I've been eating a lot of vegetables and healthier proteins and my insulin intake has been cut down a lot.

My dad was diagnosed as type 2 and he controlled his diet and got good physical activity and he was able to control his very well with that.     Getting more and more ill

    With the spikes and lows what types of insulin are you on? I was very active when I worked and my levels would constantly go low while working. I had to lower my long term insulin. In evening when I was no longer active my levels would go up do to no longer being active.

    I've been counting calories since I was diagnosed nearly 20 years ago. Many people recently have been trying to tell me I need to count carbs. My recent A1C this week was a 5.7 my doctor says to do what I am just feel frustrated.
