I’m new to the forum so forgive me if my thread is a repetition:
I tested myself this morning and got an unusually high reading (for me) of 8.6 mmol/L
An hour later having drunk a pint of water the reading was down to 5.2 mmol/L
There does seem to be advice to drink 2 litres of water per day...

Getting readings from my monitor.
Only 1in 3 attempts get a reading at all.
I’m not sure I’m getting enough blood despite using the highest finger prick level.

Hi Stephen, I’m now on my 2nd monitor which manages a reading 1 in 3 attempts so not trustworthy.
It’s a Kinetic sponsored by St John Ambulance which is encouraging but the results are not.
I have to use the highest level to produce enough blood but even then a 1- 3 ration is poor.

I’m on my 2nd blood glucose monitor and not getting far with it.
I can only get it to read 1 in 3 attempts so don’t trust the readings it does provide.

Hiya, joe here having just joined after a pre-diabetic blood glucose level. I've just started monitoring my own levels using a Kinetic monitor. My GP says I can't have another blood test for a year so I'm taking responsibility for my self as best I can,
