69 year old grandmother. Was a nurse in the NHS many years ago, so am well out of date.
The rubbish about high carbohydrate, low glycaemic index foods for diabetics actually came in about half-way through my relatively short career. I thought it made little sense then, like most of my colleagues. Most of our sick diabetic patients had tiny appetites and could only eat a fraction of what they were supposed to! I bet they did not follow these new diets when they went home.

Limited due to heart problems and weight. No stamina at all plus breathlessness and severe back pain if I overdo things.

Reading, concerts, theatre, watching TV, seeing family esp. 5 grandchildren and friends, car trips into the countryside, holidays.
