52, diagnosed in June 2016, lived in denial for almost a year, put weight on. Had a horrible review in 2017. Since then shed over 14kgs. Feel a lot better, don't get breathless any more walking 20 mins. And amazed what I can eat! Potatoes, Pasta and rice are now "treats", where as before they were my diet, especially pasta. Would easily have 300g of pasta in one meal several times a week and loads of roast spuds on a Sunday. And bread, bread and more bread..
BP has also come down to acceptable levels.
