Ditto all comments just made and yep been their. I would just add that I was also told it is hard to restore sight but further loss can be prevented. So keep getting reviewed, maintain good levels and don't worry.

Ok I am type 1 but please get guidance. High bg does the long term damage and should be avoided. Sadly it doesn't make you feel Ill. You need to maintain levels at worst no more than 10. It sounds like your body needs to calibrate. Please get some help.
