    Tummy bug ,ketones

Thanks for your reply. I'm feeling much better now. I managed to get some urine ketostix. Now as accurate but better than nothing. All the chemist's in the locality did not have any stock of actual blood ketone sticks Blood sugars have now come down to normal and no ketones. Thanks once again

Not losing weight on low carb

Thanks for reply. Yes she does track it. I advise her to maybe cut the yoghurt out and try plain Greek yoghurt but she's not keen. And no she's not testing ketones. It's a bit of a fine balance tbh as I am concerned she is worrying too much about it She has a poor opinion of her body image as...

Freestyle Libra 2 and mental health

Hi I think you would probably benefit from speaking to someone about it. Do you have a,diabetes well being service in your area you can be referred into? I was referred earlier in the year for similar issues and I certainly found it of benefit. I feel the libre is a great tool but having this...

    type 1 low carb worries

I Tend to use the libre sensor but will sometimes double check with blood glucose meter especially when the sensor keeps alarming. Thankyou I may start to test more often using the BG meter rather than relying on the libre. Sometimes can't see these things yourself. :)

    type 1 low carb worries

Hi I am going through the menopause --tiredness, brain fog hot sweat lol. I'm sure my tresiba is correct as I have sometimes not eaten breakfast and my blood sugars will keep a steady straight line If I have tried to increase it I have often run too low through the day. Injection sites seem...

    Spiking overnight on low carb

Thanks for the advice..No I'm not a new diabetic. I've had it for 29 years! More recent is the low carb approach. I'm sure I worried about high readings less when I was younger I think having the libre also makes you see things you weren't aware of before.

    Spiking overnight on low carb

Hi I don't meet the criteria for a pump as my last Hba1c was 50mmols.(best it's ever been and took a lot of hard work). This is all down to low carb and additional bolus injections The consultant did say he could put me forward for pump but might be rejected and felt I was too focused on my...
