If you are using it with an Omnipod 5, then it is only swiped when started. You can continue to use wit a Libre app on a phone, in which case you have to scan with a phone to get a reading.

Glad you’re OK. But I’m surprised that you never give more than 8 units per meal. Just what do you eat? My bolts for lunch yesterday worked out at 21 units

I think that sort of reading after a Christmas meal isn’t bad at all. It may be worth splitting your insulin by course. Or taking it after the starter. Too much panicking over the odd high reading.
