    Water Fasting Experiment Vlog =)

From what I've read, lean mass doesn't really reduce too much as long as the fast is done properly (which I guess it wasn't really, being as I unfortunately had to eat some small amounts of sugar due to too much insulin). Will definitely be giving it another go when I can though, as I found it...

    Water Fasting Experiment Vlog =)

Thanks! Shall do! I'm going to be going through pretty much everything I know/have learnt about diabetes management & health generally on that channel - I'm hoping that'll be of some use to people =)

    Water Fasting Experiment Vlog =)

I think I did in the overview video before the fast, but if not: I found some interesting research into fasting regenerating the immune system (I'm not expecting a cure, but thought it might increase my insulin sensitivity), and as well as this I found out about autophagy, which is a process...

    Water Fasting Experiment Vlog =)

Hey guys & gals! Hope you're good =) I started a water-fasting experiment a few days ago, and I'm vlogging my experience with it if anyone's interested? I'm tracking: Blood Sugars Basal Insulin Ketones Blood Pressure Activity levels Energy Levels Anything else of note Here's a link to the...

    Started on the insight today!

Hey, I'm not too well-up on the pump side of things. Is this free on the NHS? If not, are there any pumps free on the NHS? What would you say are the positives/negatives of pumps vs MDI? Cheers.

    Type 1 - don't want to inject

Look into a pump if you don't like injections. Personally though, the injections are fine and are nothing more than a minor inconvenience. The main pain in the **** is the constant cognitive load involved in trying to maintain normal blood sugars, and with the added pressure of knowing that if...

    Newly diagnosed Type 2

Oh, and don't underestimate the power of exercise in relation to insulin sensitivity. Also, look into what the HbA1cs/post-prandial and fasting sugars of people without diabetes are and aim for them. Also, Dr Bernstein's book is a solid foundation of knowledge from a guy who's had T1 diabetes...

    Newly diagnosed Type 2

Look into the ketogenic diet .. people say it's restrictive, but I find the meals delicious & healthy. There's also reports of people reversing the symptoms of T2 diabetes with it, especially if caught early. You might even be able to get some of your insulin sensitivity back from it, although...

    Freestyle libre

D'ya know if this is working now? I don't mind having a needle in my arm for longer if it's going to save me significant dollar. Bet the sensor can last much longer than 2 weeks anyway, probs just a good way of making more £££ off us poor plebs.

    Freestyle libre

I've had it 2 weeks so far, and I say yes (although I wish for the love of everything that is holy that the NHS would start funding it - or at least partially funding it (I know systems hate change and take their sweet ass time doing it)). I thought I had decent control until I got it - turns...
