Attended SOCCER (Stockport Optimising Carbohydrate Counting, Education & Results) Course end of 2016 and now have more control of my diabetes. Highly recommend this brilliant course for Type 1's in the Stockport area.
I was on Levemir as my BASAL insulin, but through this course we were able to establish in the 1st week that it was only lasting 12 hours; which is why my BG was rising in the afternoon. A move to Tresiba has corrected this and my control is much better.
For the 1st time since diagnosis I am Carb counting and injecting correctly.
They say a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing, but no knowledge with Type 1 diabetes is EVEN MORE DANGEROUS.
