    Tandem t slim bolus app

Hi Ellie, good question and I know you do the same as me when you start a new sensor. I would imagine that you can as the new app takes the readings from your pump, I get the g7 app still on my phone, so in theory we should still be able to start sensor on phone ( g7 app ) for first 12 hrs and...

Any general advice on HCL models?

Good advice from all. Research is definitely important, what works for one might not for another. I'm on the tslim and I actually love its algorithm. My best friend is on Medtronic and I know 100% its ' learning ' wouldn't work for me. I live a very erratic life, hard physical work/sedate days...

    Spare g6 sensors

I have 4 spare g6 sensors and a transmitter I don't need. I have been on g7 for several months now and I've emailed my nurse to see if the clinic wanted them and she never replied. I don't want them sitting here going out of date, how do I find them a new home?

    Dexcom placements

I have used both g6 & g7 on my stomach and I also have used them on my thighs and upper butt. I do get ' compression lows ' during the first 24hrs but all my readings are out during that period. Even on my arms I get them as I sleep on all sides so really doesn't make any difference where I...

    Tru steel cannulas

Yes, they told me the same thing last week when I called to place my order. It's a great time to try different cannulas, they let you, rather than telling you that your nurse has to contact them to change your order! I asked for 2 boxes of the 90s that I had tried before but found a faff so...

    Omnipod

Publicity helped me get my first pump funded, it was 19yrs ago now and I used the local paper. I had tried local MP and spoke to plenty of people in my local ' primary care trust ' as it was back then. I was told they hadn't applied for the funding for pumps but then I was lucky enough to be...

    Please help!

I have over used libre 1&2 and dexcom g6&g7 almost every single sensor gives me erratic readings for the first 12 hrs, there are several others the same as me but also people who have accurate readings from the start. Im closed loop now so I start a new sensor 12 hrs before the sensor ends on my...

    Tandem T-Slim pump alarms RANT!

I'm on the tslim too and when I first went on it, like you I was ready to throw it out the window. Then I discovered the settings on both the pump and the dexcom app, adjusted those to suit and now rarely they bother me. On my pump, high and low are set to 'never repeat', rise and fall are...

    Pump friendly pyjamas

I sleep in an insulin pump belt that I bought from Amazon. It velcros around your waist so no clips to annoy you, it has 3 pockets to choose from and whichever pocket I choose to keep it near my sensor it stays exactly where I put it when I go to bed, all night. I love it, It is sold as a...

T-Slim X2: What do you do for meals with multiple courses?

Thanks Hopeful 34 for your correction about the 5 hrs active time, its been a while since I looked and I guess I was being hopeful! I do find when I go out for a meal, more often than not my sugars will rise after I've left the restaurant. One thought I had about that was that I sit still for...

Dexcom G6 Omnipod 5 Shuggah issues

I can only answer your first question, I experienced the same when going to concerts, I stumbled on the solution reading some online reviews.... I'm not very tech and can't explain why but I know it works, simply turn the wifi off on your phone! It works every time.

    high bgs after op

I had a frozen shoulder op 8-10 years ago and coupled with the high blood sugars I also experienced for the first, and thankfully last time in my life insomnia!! So at 4am whilst wide awake, I googled 'insomnia after an op' and it turns out both are due to the adrenaline your body has pumped in...
