Can Type 2 be caused by Pancreatic/gall bladder probs?

Hope you feel better soon. My doctor is not very helpful and says these episodes are from 'anxiety'. It is these dizzy moments which cause anxiety and panic attacks not vice versa. If I am in a shop and feel faint, I go into panic mode because I think someone will call an ambulance if I do pass...

My HbA1c was 48 two weeks ago and I had the test repeated on Monday, it had now come back 46. My doctor has just said normal, no action needed??? She diagnosed pre-diabetes last year and just told me to lose weight. I haven't got a clue what I am doing and cannot understand how it has come down...

Can Type 2 be caused by Pancreatic/gall bladder probs?

Thank you Mandy. I had acute pancreatitis in 2009 and was in hospital for a week. I haven't been right since. I have a vitamin D deficiency, B12 deficiency and generally feel unwell since my op to remove my gallstones. My first HbA1c test was done last year and was 46. I had my bloods done 2...

Can Type 2 be caused by Pancreatic/gall bladder probs?

I think so too. I've had them. then my mother had her gallbladder removed about 3 years after me and my nan (mum's mum) had hers removed when I was a teenager. So I agree with you. There is also a few of my relatives with diabetes. I don't think a lot of illnesses are down to what you eat or do...

Can Type 2 be caused by Pancreatic/gall bladder probs?

I have just read on google that being Diabetic could cause gallbladder disease but I cannot find anything yet that is the case vice versa. Surely if Diabetes can cause gallbladder disease, there must be a link between the two to the pancreas because this is what regulates your insulin? I will...

    Gall bladder removal and T2

Not sure I would try to do that. I had my gall bladder removed 8 years ago after a week in hospital suffering from acute pancreatitis. Prior to that I had been diagnosed about 7 months previously. I searched the internet over to try and find something so I could avoid surgery and looked into...

Can Type 2 be caused by Pancreatic/gall bladder probs?

Hi Rachox, How terrible for you. I heard that can happen after the removal and always feared it happening to me but my doctor at the time said you would have to be very unlucky. As i said in my post, i had turned a dark shade of yellow and was in hospital for a week from pancreatitis. I...

    pre-diabetes or diabetic?

Thank you, I will give it a go. Always avoided full fat stuff after having gallstones. Probably mistake no 2. I love eggs and bacon but also avoid that because I thought it would make me pile on the pounds. Amazing. Much appreciated. Thank you xxx

Can Type 2 be caused by Pancreatic/gall bladder probs?

8 years ago I had acute pancreatitis due to a blocked bile duct from gallstones. I was in hospital for a week. I returned the following week for key hole surgery to have my gall bladder removed. Since then I have had bouts of feeling ill, sometimes like I am going to pass out, clammy, sweaty and...

    pre-diabetes or diabetic?

I have been eating fruit - an apple a day and blueberries with half a banana and fat free yoghurt for my breakfast. There is my first mistake. I am just feeling rubbish, sweaty, clammy and so tired. All my other bloods came back normal because I thought I may have an under active thyroid. It is...
