I have been diagnosed type2 for about 10 years and although my doctor says I am controlling my condition well with diet, I feel tired most of the time and my feet especially my sole and toes feel strange / tight. I have regular blood, foot and eye checks which are ok but slowly worsening. My last blood test was 5 but the doc says I should be 4. Not sure if this was carbs or HDL or LDL.
I now need to be more positive with my lifestyle, diet and exercise and would like to do enough not to be tired and aching all the time. My lifestyle is very sedentary and I spend probably 10 hours sitting at a computer or with a laptop on my knee. The only exercise I get is a ten minute walk with the dog and only when its fine. My diet is fairly balanced and healthy other than the beer which I really do not want to give up. I drink 3-4 pints per night five nights a week plus a couple of glasses of wine most evenings. I have already reduced my intake from 5 pints 7 nights a week so am loathe to reduce it further. At 5'10" and a constant 14st I think I am about two stone over weight but I do have a duplicate kidney which holds about 2 litres of fluid. My doc says it is best to leave this as its not causing a problem at the moment.
