Evenin' all, For the first time since I actually got diagnosed with Type II, I finally managed to get a blood/sugar reading in single figures (7.9) :D I started taking Victoza last Monday and also started being sensible with my food... Over the course of the week, my levels have come down...

Do you drink a lot of coffee? Caffeine is a diuretic (which makes us wee more)... I know that if I have a bad day and drink more than two or three mugs in a day, I can end up trotting to the bathroom a couple of times in the night! I guess the amounts ingested would vary from person to person...

Hi Alison, Thanks for your reply... I'm learning a lot here already but I've got so many questions and there's so much info here, it's hard to know where to start! I've made the first leap today... I've switched to decaf coffee and replaced the sugar with Morrisons own 'granulated sweetener'...

Re: Type 2's : What was your fasting blood glucose in a morn 13.7 this morning... I've only had a monitor for the past few days and my readings have been similar to that each morning! Tomorrow I start on Victoza so I'm hoping I can finally get this damned condition under control! :problem:
