Spookie
I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis 12 months ago - my activities are therefore fairly restricted. Since beginning Steroid treatment my weight has increased by almost 5 st and I now have a BMI of 37!! In the last couple of weeks I have been tested by blood tests and liver scan and my GP has told me that I have type2 diabetes and Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis. She has prescribed Metformin and Atorvastatin and will see me again in 4 weeks. Sadly I have not been given ANY dietary guidance or any other things you mention on your site however as a rampant cyber-surfer I have made it my business to investigate as much as I can, hence arriving on your excellent website.
I console myself by making jewelled paper butterflies which I sell on e.bay, spending time with my beautiful and adored cats and irritating the bejesus out of my long-suffering hubbie!
Metformin; Atorvastatin; Prednisolone (long term) with associated stomach and osteo- protectors. Inhaled Tiotropium Bromide. Ambulatory Oxygen.
Exercise
Exercise is severely restricted by breathlessness (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis). I try to get upstairs at least once a day and do as much housework and gardening as my variable daily condition will allow.
