    Advice anyone?

Hi Didn't want to ignore your post! I am also on Victoza but have not had any bloods done yet so cannot comment on your results. What I would say though, is if you are worried or unhappy then see if you can speak to another GP in the practice or a diabetic nurse and ask them to clarify the...

    Victoza

Hi I am also on Victoza - first time I was so sick from it I had to have anti sickness injections and then had to stop it. Second time I was given omeprazole to settle my stomach (which I am still taking) and then had to have 1 month on 0.6 When I went up to 1.2 I was sick again - so I took it...

Have re-started the Victoza - this time with a longer time on the lower dose and tablets to help keep my stomach under control! This went well until I upped the dose. Not so good - so I am now taking half the dose twice a day which seems to be OK! Not sure if this is OK? The GP I saw said it...

    VICTOZA users

Well I have lasted all of 2 weeks on Victoza! After 24 hours of sickness that resulted in my face covered in burst blood vessels the emergency doctor told me to come off it, gave me an anti sickness injection and some gaviscon and advised me to see my own GP to sort something else out! Still...

    Victoza Injections

I started 2 weeks ago - minor nausea and upset stomach while on the 0.6 dose. Really bad on the 1.2 dose including indigestion, nausea, sickness, stomach pain, stomach upset, constipation, headaches 2 days after starting the higher dose. Seems to be calming down now but I did feel poorly...

Help please  I have been on Victoza for the grand total of 10 days. The first week on 0.6 was not too bad - was coping with it all. Went onto 1.2 on Monday and today has been awful. Dreadful wind and burping sulphury burps which are making me feel really really sick. What can I do? I...

Is this being caused by the Victoza?

Hi I have started on Victoza this week (Monday) now on day 4 at the 0.6 level. I have been doing OK - a bit of an upset tummy but not much. My question is this - I know that nausea is a side effect, but I am fine when I take it in the morning but by the evening I am feeling queasy. Is this...

Surgery next week and I've been thrown a curve ball!

Well I am back home having had to stay in overnight! Thank you for all your good wishes. Bloods were fine when I went in. The admitting staff couln't have cared less about the pre admit high! All that worry for nothing! And then the hospital doesn't seem to understand diabetes as all my...

Surgery next week and I've been thrown a curve ball!

Thank you both - have to say I am looking forward to a night of sleep when it has been done :) I haven't slept a full night for nearly a year now and the thought of being pain free (after a bit obviously) is really exciting! As is having hubby and son wait on me hand and foot :)

Surgery next week and I've been thrown a curve ball!

Well my Hba1c result is 68 which is not great, but is below the 8.5% level that is on the management of adults with diabetes undergoing surgery guidelines that I have now found! Silly to think that one is in the new units and the other in the old- but I have used the calculations thingy and...

Surgery next week and I've been thrown a curve ball!

thank you for all your responses and kind words have seen the DNS who is appalled by the hospital and said there were things they could have done to make sure my op was on time and I was safe! However, I have been monitoring my BG and it wasn't as bad as the reading at the hospital yesterday...

Surgery next week and I've been thrown a curve ball!

I think that is what is frustrating - if they said - it must be no higher than ....... I could cope! But it will depend on the morning!

Surgery next week and I've been thrown a curve ball!

Well I have been good overnight and took my BG first thing this morning - hoping that it would be the time of the dawn phenomenon as I am not sure that they will take that into account when I have my op (first thing in the morning and BG will be done at about 7am on an empty stomach) and it was...

Surgery next week and I've been thrown a curve ball!

Hi Smidge I know you are right - just puts all my plans to pot and I wish they had said they were cancelling rather than letting me get there next week and doing a BG test first thing in the morning and then deciding! Funnily enough I am due a review and had this booked for after surgery -...

Surgery next week and I've been thrown a curve ball!

Thank you - had my hba1c today but they haven't said that would be the decider! I am just cross that this is all happening the week before the op - why couldn't they have done this sooner? I am a teacher and trying to have the op in the summer so I don't disrupt classes and now I am being...
