Diagnosed back in 2011, at the age of 35, life changing experience, hate every aspect of Diabetes, but will not be defeated.
Everyday is a learning curve and very slowly accepting that I have it, have really good levels that are checked every 3 / 6 month.
Have a lot of frustration with the fact that I could have been diagnosed sooner if the right questions was asked, spent many years going through life believing that I was not normal and eating when feeling weak.
But that said. I am winning. I don't like the highs or lows, ( who does) don't like how I get angry / frustrated with those that I love, don't like the fear factor of being in a meeting and going low... but hey I am alive and have a great family.
