    Difficulty with Doctor

Hospital team. My GP’s very hands off.

    Difficulty with Doctor

Yeah that is an option, though I’m not sure how I’ll get them to consider the evidence that would produce when they’re not considering the data I’ve collected about my issues with the Libre.

    Difficulty with Doctor

Well I was hoping for this option, but both my Doctor and Nurse insist that “the Dexcom is actually worse than the Libre” and would only consider this option “if I experienced an allergic reaction to the Libre”. Though, and this is the part I find a little frustrating, other people in the same...

    Difficulty with Doctor

I’m not averse to making complaints. I make them as part of my job. NHS cases, however, it is my experience, you need to wait until after something untoward has already happened before you can complain for there to be sufficient evidence to make a worthwhile complaint. But what I’m trying to do...

    Difficulty with Doctor

I provided documentation to my nurse, via the Glooko app, as I have set-up my blood sugar meter to send all readings to Glooko. My Nurse can look at this but chooses not to.

    Difficulty with Doctor

I was wondering if anyone had been in a similar position and could offer help. I am currently having severe issues with the Omnipod 5 and Libre 2 plus sensors. Since the start of the year I have found the quality of the Sensors to be atrociously bad. Sensors are frequently finding Phantom...

Hi, please let me delete my account.

I see this account has been deleted. I’m trying to delete my account also. And have had no help from anyone, can whoever sorted this out, also delete my account?

Any ideas what may have caused this?

Taking Hypo Treatments at 12 or below, as Danny has already stated, will send his Blood Sugars sky-rocketing. So we can reasonably assume until he gets better at treating them they are going to continue to shoot above 16 when he treats them. As such, every time he does a treatment he will be...

Any ideas what may have caused this?

Draco can you explain a bit more about where you got this approach from? The reason I ask is, if Danny treats 12 and below as a Hypo, even treating it modestly will likely send him above 16. You’re also suggesting to him not eating if his blood sugar is above 16, but your first piece of advice...

Basically, when you go into the PDM tap Bolus. If you don't enter anything in the Carb box, you can edit the Dose box and just type in the amount of Insulin you want to take. *actually you can always edit the Dose box, I just find it easier to avoid 'phantom carbs'.

Would this formula actually work in Danny’s case? Isn’t the logic behind this formula that TDD is keeping you in range, which Danny’s clearly isn’t, like at all.

Why does blood sugar sometimes rise 3-4hrs after dinner?

I have a wee note on my phone with all my FPU calculations for quick reference later. Makes things less time consuming in the long-run. One thing to watch is the overall dose needed for meals may drop as a result of using this supplemental dose. I had to drop my carb ratio to accommodate dosing...

Just to add a pragmatic element to this managing your levels with a Pump is more difficult* than managing them with injections. Adding an extra layer of difficulty, might not be the best course of action for you right now. *In the sense, there's a lot more going on that you have to be aware of.

    Strange Pod Issue

Thought I’d reawaken this thread to ask this question, as it provides some relevant context. So since this issue, I’ve seen a reoccurring pattern of this. Between 36 hours and 48 hours into a new pod my insulin looses its effectiveness. Due to the issue above I’ve been a lot faster at...

    Omnipod dash

It's interesting that works for you, if I did that my levels would rocket into the stratosphere. Taking a 0.05 dose of Bolus right after applying the pod, and routinely doing pump changes after my last meal of the day has helped me a lot.
