    Eye Screening

Such good advice and reassurance. I have a whole load of tests due, so will try to speak to my GP about it. Thank you all again.

    Eye Screening

Thank you all so much for your replies - much appreciated. It's always worrying when something isn't normal, but hopefully whatever shows up will be treated quickly. Thanks again everyone.

    Eye Screening

I'm due to have my HBa1C check in 2 weeks time. My last result in August this year was 59mmol/mol or 9.3mmol/L. However, my bg has been gradually increasing since then. I was only diagnosed in June 2013, but still in limbo as to which type. My bg control has been good since diagnosis, but...

    Eye Screening

Just had my 3rd routine annual eye screening. The letter arrived this morning and I expected it to tell me the usual, i.e. results all ok. However, I've been asked to go for further testing at a different hospital, with advice on how to reduce the risk of developing sight-threatening diabetic...

    C-peptide test

Many thanks again, Daibell. I'm fairly sure my result was on the high end, but the only way to make certain is to talk to my gp and found out the units for the 1029. I thought this test would make everything clear - I was told that I was likely to be T1 when first diagnosed in June 2013, but...

    C-peptide test

Thank you, Diabell. I also thought there could be a missing point in the 1029, but I don't understand why there were no units mentioned. I think the letter was suggesting that this reading was at the higher end of the scale, as the letter mentions considering a trial without insulin therapy...

    C-peptide test

I was wondering if anyone could help me analyse my c-peptide results, please. I had a non-fasting test recently with a result of 1029 with blood glucose of 7.6. I have no idea what this means, other than I think I must be producing insulin? Does this mean I'm now likey to be Type 2 and...

New member and type 1.5.....I think!

Thank you all so much for your responses. :) And thank you, Daibell, for your very informative reply. It's so interesting to hear about other diabetic's situations. I beginning to see where I fit, i.e. type 1.5, although the medical professionals always seem reluctant to commit to a deifinite...

New member and type 1.5.....I think!

I've just joined this forum as I'm quite newly diagnosed diabetic. However, which type? I was diagnosed in June 2013, when a pre-op urine test showed a glucose level of 28. My op was cancelled and I was thrown into a whirl of doctors, phone calls, appointments, tests etc.... My HbA1c level...
