    My father was type 1 diabetic & as a result of a routine examination & blood tests I was diagnosed as type 2 in January with an HbA1c of 7.9, I was sent away to diet & excersize I did very little initally but then made an effort and lost 1/2 a stone but it seems this was too little too late...
