The "once a diabetic always a diabetic" is not strictly true as they may find a cure and they may find ways of nullifying diabetes via its control that it won't be an issue. Yes once you have been diabetic you are deemed succeptible to raised BG but you won't every suffer it if you're managing...
Hi all, I am the person refered to in the original query and all of the above are spot on. 42 to 48 is pre-diabetic so maybe that is why they didn't push the extra stress of saying you were borderline pre-diabetic when they were more concerned with your blood pressure issue.
Every case of...
I would certainly voice my issues to Dietdoctor.com to see if there is a way of combing low carb and weight gain safely. They are very helpful and knowledgeable and it costs nothing to ask. I hope you find a solution to it.

Well done so far. I think the only thing I can say is try not to worry too much about what your next HBA1C will be as if you are low carbing and in ketosis it should be hopefully better but it will be what it will be and it will be your best indicator that you're on the right path.
I don't...
I hope it all goes well. It sound a lot more complex than My situation sadly but it's not to say that there isn't a way back with help.
I know it is all very daunting but stick with it. I think you would be better off chatting to someone with more experience with pancreatitis. Message someone...
I think I am one of the lucky ones in that I think I caught it early on before too much damage was done. A brilliant source of support and advice is the Dietdoctor.com site and of course this forum. The main low carb program is good but for me it advises too high carb intake to adopt ketosis...
VLCHF diet and exercise. 75% Fat, 20% Protein 5% Carb. I got an activity tracker which drove my step count up daily.
Always check with a healthcare professional before hand.
I've never chased my BG levels as my very low carb keeps me in ketosis.
I may be prone to being Diabetic but so is...

I have been advised by my doctor if my next HBA1C drops below 32 from the 38 it was in my last one I will be taken off their diabetic register. I am obviously aiming to get this as low as possible but I will ask to stay on the list so I get the long term support I need to manage and control...
Resolution has been temporarily made.
I increased the volume of food I ate (fat and protein only). I upped the water and reduced the black coffee and result.
Obviously this isn't ideal but I realise that for me I'm just going to have to accept that I need a daily intake of greens other than...
I think I just need to stop whinging probably and do the same. Spinach and a few sprouts should do the trick hopefully.
I'm gonna look into the Psyllium Husk Powder cos I'd rather take that than do spinach every day.

I've struggled all the way through since starting in Feb to be honest. It's a small price to pay to get your life back I suppose but I'm sure there must be some means of regulating and my movements.
I'm probably not eating enough greens as I usually favor salad to Kale and Spinach. I've just...
Any advice would be a real help. Drinking plenty of water but need to go so bad. Really bloated and getting stomach ache due to infrequency of visits.
