Hi
I’m about to use a Juniorstar pen for my Lantus but with my previous Solostar pen I had a Timesulin device to time since my last insulin dose. The new Juniorstar is a different size and I can’t seem to find a pen timer to fit it. Does anyone know of one please? I don’t feel comfortable...
Hi ask if they’re planning on doing a DAFNE course over one week in the future. You never know. My area normally do them spread out over a few weeks but I managed to get on one that was every day for one week. It was very informative for all the reasons stated above. Good luck.
Hi I’ve recently upped my exercise and slowly needed to reduce my Lantus by half. I split my doses to morning and evening as per doctor’s advice which worked for me when I didn’t expect it to due to the overlap. Additionally I’ve found that if I go low at night it’s the morning dose that I need...
I have warm unsweetened soya milk and a sprinkle of ground almond and ground linseed. It’s like a low carb porridge alternative that I got from this site years ago.
I had the same response when I said I always wait 24 hours to activate the sensor after applying. They told me I must never do that. Most sensors work but out of 31 I’ve had about 6 that have been ridiculously out (and rang them about 4 of them) and not consistently out either. I don’t mind if I...
Hi I am a low-carber and I don’t feel hungry unless I eat carbs. I too only eat one healthy meal a day and feel great unless I eat carbs and then I feel sluggish and get indigestion. I get lots of exercise and still don’t feel hungry but enjoy my meal when I have it. I wear a Libre and my BG is...
Hi
I rang the airline to say I’d be travelling with a Libre on my arm and others in my hand luggage and they said to carry with me the manufacturer’s instructions. Some previous threads on here were really useful. You can’t go through the scanning arch with a Libre on and have to be patted down...
It happened to me and the doctor checked my thyroid but it was fine, he then said it was probably my hormones. I didn’t lose weight before diagnosis either so it’s annoying. I was diagnosed at a random well-woman check and had had no symptoms.
Hi @gorman100
I had exactly the same problem and changed to Fiasp. After a couple of weeks my readings were much better. I'm a libre user too. It's worth a try. Good luck.
Hi for nearly 2 weeks it felt as if Fiasp wasn't working at all (massive insulin resistance). I had terribly high BG and I slowly increased my ratios to 1:5 but I'm aware that at 54 years old it could also be due to hormones and merely coincidence that it happened exactly as I started Fiasp...
