    Libre app without reader

    Yes. You can activate the sensor with either the reader or the app, however if you activate with the reader you can also use the app but not the other way round. Check freestyle website.

    Your morning levels high/rising could be your liver releasing glucose. I used to have this sort of thing but now have a small breakfast as soon as I'm up and Novo rapid to suit carb intake.

    Thanks pal, frustrating business this diabetes (of any kind). Just when you think you have it sussed, something upsets the apple cart (that's the problem, too much of my 5 a day). I will have a look at the links and inwardly digest ( there I go again, that'll send the sugar up).
