I've found that as well. I'll gain a lot almost immediately when I come off a low carb diet but within 5 or 6 days, that extra water weight has gone again.

It seems to work for me. I have a jelly pot for breakfast and although that is essentially flavoured water, it does have 1g or so of carb so there's something there.
I do have a meter but I've not used it in years. Do you think I might get a spike from a glucose dump?

When I'm not working, I have Asda's sausage patties. They taste exactly the same as McDonald's McMuffin sausages and are under 1g in carbs. Ideal.
