    diabetes and kidneys

    Hi i have been diabetic, type 2 for 20yrs now and have just been told my kidneys are deteriating, can anyone tell me if this is a matter of course?, will it get worse? and over how long?, sorry a lot of questions but i havnt had much info from my docs, thanks
