Type 1 Need help with insulin-diet-weight equation

I think perhaps I do need to increase my basal again. Is increasing insulin resistance normal? I feel like my condition keeps getting worse

I did! Over the last year, I’ve increased my Basal from 20u to 31u but it seems to keep increasing (as does my bolus)

Type 1 Need help with insulin-diet-weight equation

Hello, my name is Royina, I’m 24 years old, and I’ve had T1D for 3 years now. For my first 1.5 years as a diabetic I lived in India, had a low carb, low fat, high fibre diet, and needed very small amounts of insulin (about 15-20 units total a day). Last Feb I moved to Australia and since then the...

The 'Golden' 6 1/2 Years and beyond

This is a really informative post! I think that HCPs try to first set up a routine for you, because as you mentioned they don’t want the patient to get overwhelmed. However, if the patient is older or if the parents do ask, they should mention trial results so that the patient/ parents/...

I would avoid the traditional Indian sweets only because glucose syrup is used to sweeten these so one piece is the equivalent of 6...

Type 1 Constant Slight Tremor In Hands

Hello Grant. I’m only on allergy medication. I will check the side effects! I don’t have a GP and my endocrinologist is in a different country so I’m trying to see if I can identify the cause on my own.
