    FreeStyle Libre

Yeah, they're just so expensive it's silly. Supposedly kids in Australia are prescribed the sensors as it gives them better control. If it cuts hospital stays and complications, then maybe it would save the NHS money. I'll be sad to go back to finger prick when the trial ends.

    Pump v. Injection

Type 1: Sore finger tips - not taking insulin

Plus the reason you're getting hungry is because your body has been denied the nutrients it needs to work properly, so as you do your insulin, you're giving your cells the energy they need that they've not had, this should ease after a few weeks of doing insulin

Type 1: Sore finger tips - not taking insulin

Do not drop your insulin!!! I went into DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis) this summer for exactly the same reasons and it was not worth it at all. The harsh truth is that if you don't take insulin and you have constant high blood glucose readings, then you are putting yourself at risk of DKA, comas...

How long did you think you had diabetes before diagnosis?

I'm not sure to be honest. I was diagnosed at age twelve after maybe six months of rapid weight loss and thirst. Initially my go wasn't going to ask for blood glucose within my blood tests however luckily he did, which came back at a whopping 49.9 m/mols per litre (at this point only a phone...

Hiya, I was recently successful with my claim for PIP. What you have to do is fill out your form as if you are experiencing your one of your "worst days", or at least this was what I was advised, which gives you more points towards your PIP claim, and do the same in your interview with capita :)
