    Daily testing v HBa1c

Thank you! I do test pre and 2 hour post meal. I’ve made the decision to stop taking metformin, I feel it’s doing me more harm than good. I’m going to take Berberin as a supplement instead which is proved to support anyone with T2 diabetes

    Daily testing v HBa1c

Hi all, So when I check my bloods daily, my results never change from between 4-6 on average. I’ve stopped taking Metformin as it was so unpleasant. Are there other other ways to monitor my levels or can you assume that if you don’t ever spike over 6 then your HBA1c will remain low. For info-...

    T2 HbA1c results

Hi, I was diagnosed 3 months ago, my test was 60 so quite similar. Just got my 3 month test back and it’s now 41, I’m so pleased. And that’s without removing all carbs. But I’ve give up all cakes, biscuits etc. and switched a lot of foods round. I’ve also lost 2 stone so far. It’s scary at...

    Tiredness

Thanks, but I tried 50g and just can’t manage on it, there’s hardly anything you can eat. I don’t want to eat a whole protein diet, i need a balanced diet to support having an under active thyroid also.

    Tiredness

Yes I’ve completely changed my diet, I restrict carbs but usually still 100g a day so not too low. But I did used to eat a lot of carbs. Completely cut sugar out. Just a small drizzle of honey and off chunk of 90% dark chocolate. Thank you for your advice Jo

    Tiredness

Hi all, after building up the dose I have been taking 2000mg a day for the last 2 weeks. (6 weeks of meds in total) I had felt pretty awful by the time I was diagnosed, literally couldn’t get to the end of the road I was so exhausted. I was told that I would feel better straight away, but I am...

Understanding my daily blood sugar levels

@LeafyArts thank you for your reply, it is really good to hear from someone experiencing the same, thank you. I have done the same with the higher fat/proteins to carbs. Understanding my daily blood sugar levels

Hi all, I am newly diagnosed and haven’t a clue what I’m meant to be looking out for. I have adjusted my diet, dropping all sugar and low carb. I am very overweight but don’t seem to be losing anything despite logging my food and eating a healthy limit of calories. I have been testing myself...
