    Just an update. emailed lifescan and told them what was happening, received a new meter today and it works perfectly. No more wasted test strips. Thanks.

    Anyone else having the same problem as me? When I touch the side of the test strip with my blood it seems to move the strip slightly and turn the meter off. That means a new strip to try again, is this how they get us to buy more and more strips?
