    HbA1c and quantity of glucophage

    My diabetologist advised me to take 500mg of glucophage per day since I was able to control now my blood sugar. Last year I was taking 1500mg of glucophage plus diamicron. No more soda, no more high sugar level foods.

    You really need to have a walking exercise at least 30minutes a day. It helped me a lot. Here's my actual result after 3 months: http://www.officiallydiabetic.com/im-close-to-reverse-my-diabetes/ right now I am maintaining my daily walking exercise.

    Better to consult a real "diabetologist". Becoming diabetic is not the end of the world. It's however a life changer because if you are really dead serious in controlling your diabetes, you will have to do some major lifestyle change.

    I'd say yes if you can. Not necessary, but it will be helpful if you do monitor your glucose level from time to time. Diet and exercise is the number one way to control your blood sugar level, that's for my personal experience. Daily walking time for about 30 minutes at least can do help a lot.

    2500mg of glucophage i think is the maximum. 6.3 for HBa1c test means u are in the normal level. 7 is the upper ceiling. Sent from the Officially Diabetic

    Dignosed today and already confused about metformin

    I am taking 1500 mg of metformin daily. If you take the SR version that's totally fine even if u take it one time, let's say evening. If it is not the extended release, i am taking it one 500mg per meal. Hope that gives u the idea. Sent from the Officially Diabetic

    You really have to exercise every day even just walking. I manage to control my sugar in just 3 weeks doing diet, exercise, medicine and food supplement. Try to always hit between 5-6. Remember, floating extra blood sugar for a long time is dangerous to your organs.
