10 - 12 years diabetic. 5'4" 130 lbs. never had a weigh problem.
started on metformin. Diamicron added about 5 years ago. Up until 5 weeks ago
I dropped the meds and went low card/keto.
My last A1C Dec. 1 2019 was 8.6 mmol.

Age 63, Height 5' 4" Average Weight around 135 lbs over the last 2 years.
T2 never been obese or over weight . Maybe about 12 years ago when I weighed 150 lbs. never dieted went back to average weight of 140 Lbs, Later I was diagnosed with diabetes.
Started off with 500 mg metformin somewhere around 10 years ago.
Aug 17 2020 : A1C 6.1 mmol/l
May 13, 2020 : A1C 6.1 mmol/l
Feb 19, 2020: A1C 6.6 mmol/l
Dec 8 2019 I was 1000 to 1500 mg of metformin and 90 mg diamacron
Dec 8 2019 my A1C was 8.6 mmol/l . My morning fast numbers were higher, example, the month of Nov. it would be in the upper 8 mmol/l to low 10 mmol/l.
Dec 8 2019 I started on a low carb diet ( stopped all meds. ), typically 50 carbs a day more or less.
Jan 20, 2020 Back to 500 mg or 1000 mg. not sure what amount works best yet, to help get my morning fast lower.
Jan 26, 2020 My morning fast numbers for the last week are in the 6 mmol/l range.
Feb 3, 2020 Staring 1000 mg metformin daily, 500 mg with breakfast 500 mg with supper. Checking to see if the added 500 mg helps the morning BG go lower.
Still hacking away with the food that works best for me.
Morning Fast as of May 2020 is just above 6 mmol.l
My goal is to get to 4.5 - 5.5 mmol/l on a regular basis after my morning fast and off meds.
