    Actually just to be different I got sent on a Diabetes course run by the NHS (afraid I can't remember what it was called) when I was diagnosed about 12 years ago and they did recommend a low carb diet, offered suggestions on food substitutes, recommended doing more exercise, explained the issues...

    When to see your GP about a foot sore

    I only know that my diabetic nurse says to see them if there is any change in my feet, they would rather check it than take a chance (even got told off because I had the remains of a small blister at my last review).
