Do I need to inform my car insurance yet?

Hi, As far as I am aware you only need to inform your insurance people and the DVLA if you are on insulin.... I was on oral meds for a few years at first and did not inform them, but once I went on to insulin I was told I had to.... Hope this helps. Pete. Sent from the Diabetes Forum App

    insulin

Hi, Honestly it's easy and nothing to worry about. I was on the mixed insulin twice a day But the regimented meal times didn't suit my job so I'm now on the basal bolus system with five injections a day which is much better for me. There are various injection sites and the important thing is to...

    Change of Insulin

Hi Mervyn, I think you should be ok on M3, when i changed away from M3 my DSN stressed it has a great record but only if you lead a fiarly regimented lifestyle, I cant, i eat at all sorts of odd times and meal times vary every day. I'm sure you will have been told to inject approx 20mins to...

    Change of Insulin

Hi Mervin, I'm T2 and was on humilin M3 for a while, it didnt suit me as it requires a quite regimented lifestyle ie: regular meals at regular times and my job won't allow that. I ended up on 38 units in a morning and 56 on a night which was a large dose but in the end it did not work for me...
