    I used to go down to 1.8 quite regularly and still be compus-mentus, holding a conversation, dealing with the low myself. The lowest I remember was 1.2. Then again I can be out of it at 3, depending on situation and speed.

    Someone mentioned having wet hands, but there is the alternative, did you actually wash your hands properly? as the 2 higher results could have been contaminated with lucozade or biccie residue....

    Disappearing Pen

    Down the side of the passenger seat i bet, or even by this time under the seat itself..... as long as the door was shut when you took out the blood test kit, chances are it would of slid sideways and rolled.... or potentially if you had a bag on the floor of the passenger side, could of fallen...

    Tingling in toes

    If you go to the nurse or doc they can do a test with a bit of fishing line to see how sensitive your feet are..... but in addition to that, i would recommend you start measuring the circumference of your feet, as i had a tingling feeling when my foot started to swell up with water retention...

    Theory Test

    Hi, dunno if it's changed in the last couple of years, but the 3 times I've done and passed the theory test I was allowed to take a bottle of drink in with me, which meant I could top up my levels with little sips while contemplating whether or not that was the right answer to the last question....

    Re: Hypos The lowest recorded level ive had was 0.8, recorded by a unrequired paramedic after i had already drunk most of a bottle of lucozade all by myself... ... currently drinking lucozade with a blood sugar level of 2.9!

    Does it get easier? Will he be ok?

    I was diagnosed when i was 5, as soon as i started doing the injections for myself my diabetes just became another part of my life. I control it, it doesnt control me! When i was a kid i kept all my diabetes stuff in a 'bum bag'.... not sure if thats the right name for it, one of those bags...

    How old were you when you were diagnosed?

    I was 5 years old when i was eventually diagnosed with type 1 diabetes... ... i've been diabetic for a whopping 20 years now!
