Can anybody knowledgeable advise on cholesterol levels? My results today were: Overall 5.9 Hdl 1.44 ldl 3.4 Ratio 4.1 Trig 2.23 Was offered a statin but turned it down. I’m thinking the figures are OKish, but not sure. Am a 56 year old female. HBA1C was 51. So urgh. Thank you

I have started suffering with leg cramps since working in a job where I’m on my feet all day and covering many miles. I use the Better You magnesium gel or lotion on my legs and feet and I also have a glass of cold water immediately before bed and I find that these really help.

Well I started the slow release ones and I’m getting dreadful bloating. Really quite uncomfortable. Only three days in though.

I stopped taking Metformin a few months back as it bunged me up and I realised it was a different brand. Maintained my HBA1C of 48 despite not taking them, I low carb but not religiously. Bloomin nurse wants me back on them, but the low release ones. Says there’s cardiovascular protection...

I’ve not had a problem with it, on just one a day - but I’m also taking cocodamol so I think that cancels out any effects!!

My HBA1C at Christmas was unexpectedly high and I suspect that was something to do with a bout of insomnia I had for the few months before.

I use lactose free in tea. Does the job for me.
