I was on metformin 500, 3 tablets a day. Initially it gave me nausea but then severe headaches everday, I'd wake up with a headache and it'd stay with me all day long till night time. I went back to GP who referred me to a consultant, who put me on Glucophage and Byetta. no more headaches.
