Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

A tad disappointing for you, but early days I guess. Will stick with it? NHS prescription pump? Good luck!

    Libre 3 Multiple failures

I always call them. Probably takes 5mins max. All the usual questions, box ticking exercise so just tell them what they want to hear. Just generic answers so no point in engaging in conversation. Replacement always given and delivered within 3-4 days.

    NHS artificial pancreas roll out.

Same, would want it. Well not yet anyway. People do and it works for them. I certainly don't like the idea of having a mechanical pump driven by software algorithms coming from a cgm which is not always accurate pumping insulin into me. One day maybe and of course it is a step in the right...

    NHS artificial pancreas roll out.

I realise that for some people t1 management may be a lot more of a challenge due unpredictable insulin behaviour from day to day etc. But are there many people that are above the 58mmol threshold? I guess they will end up moving that goalpost as needed in order to take up the available funding...

    NHS artificial pancreas roll out.

With the budgeted numbers, I'm curious as to how many of 300,000 uk T1s they are expecting to able to fund?

    NHS artificial pancreas roll out.

Excellent work to get 37hba1c No pump for you! The other end of the spectrum, there will be someone who puts no effort into their diabetes management, will be given a closed loop pump and can then have the lifestyle of a non diabetic and will have a hba1c potentially down in the mid 30s.

    NHS artificial pancreas roll out.

So I wont be offered one as my hba1c is not above 58mmol? 300,000 type 1s in the UK. I wonder what number/percentage of people with type 1 will be catered for with the 58mmol threshold criteria? I'm some way of 58, but I guess if your hovering between 50-55 then this is an incentive for you to...

    Libre pus ball.

It's a bit better than yesterday! Wife just took a photo, which I tried to upload... upload failed, software thinks it's an adult image. Of course it looks just like a giant nipple! [emoji23]

    Libre pus ball.

I didn't swab. Tbh, I stopped when abbot stopped including them. I always try to fit after my shower /bath etc. Perhaps I will look on amazon and get swabs. I don't want this mess again. Why on earth did Abbott stop including it. Do the other competitors supply? Not that I'd change. Libre works...

    Libre pus ball.

Yes it's a bit annoying. Of course you can buy your own, but it's just something else to think of. Whereas, if it's in the libre box there ready waiting for you, so much easier for what must cost a few pence.

    Libre pus ball.

Just reading from another site. I will need to keep a close eye on it and quite possibly need antibiotics[emoji24]

    Libre pus ball.

Been itchiting like mad for a few days now. 10days old decided it had to come off. Horrible mess, bruising and infection. First such problem in 2 years. Guess it hit something my body didn't like. I'm not too worried, squeezed as much as I can, cleaned up etc. Needle still intact after...

    Libre 3 Multiple failures

I've had good reliability for 12 months. However, this last month I've had 2 failed on me with signal loss errors after approx 7 days. Maybe a bad batch. Anyway, Abbott always replace, just a bit of a pain when they won't deliver without a person being present.

    Frequency of Tresiba dose adjustment?

My tresiba can be stable for a month or more. Then suddenly out the blue it can be way too much or little. Sometimes up to a 20% adjustment is needed so it can take few days to settle out. I usually go 0.5 increments on my novopen untill I feel it is correct again. I like to get my basal as...
