As another person with asthma and diabetes.... and other heath problems. The common cold would be a lot more bearable if it didn't affect the flow of oxygen and sleep.
I would envy another man/woman who just had diabetes (on insulin or not) and the same cold.
Undoubtedly far easier to cope with and manage with other health problems.
Myself I use my own immune system and extra asthma meds and increased insulin for the stress and lack of sleep. Extra fluids are always a good idea even for none diabetics. Paracetamol I would only take as an emergency as I'm on tramadol already and my liver and kidneys are doing enough already.
I have procured a great sugar free linctus from my gp which is great for this flemmy cough and sore throat.
For me the interruption on sleep is the hardest with this bout of laryngitis and of course struggling to breathe.
