So the other day I had a hba1c of 84
I went to the Dr the next day and I said I was worried his words were I'm worried you are heading for diabetes???? Is 84 not high??!!
I questioned this and he said they are no longer able to diagnose diabetes from an hba1c and it has to be 2 fasting blood tests!!!
I'm booked in for the fasting bloods for Wednesday then I have to see the Dr then the nurse and start checking bloods at home
The Dr said he's fully expecting me to be diabetic as I had gestational diabetes and have pcos and I'm over weight I have a debilitating illness so I don't get out often but I'm going to change all of this
That's all I know at the moment I'm surprised he wasn't more concerned!
I've been told I can take one Metformin a day after the fasting tests
