Hi all, looking for advice and to hear others experience.
I have had Type 1 for longer than I’d like to say and have used various pumps and CGMs.
Currently on closed loop, Omnipod and last Sunday swapped from Dexcom G6 to Libre 2. Went fairly well for a week however my Libre 2 has now lost connection to pump. I have turned Omnipod off and on.
Could be a line of sight issue however I changed my pod on Saturday morning and all worked fine, currently have sensor on back of arm and pump above hip on my back. Also know as love handle I just don’t like that term!

Hi emshee1

I also use Libre 2+ and Omnipod 5 and have experienced similar problems. I have found that I get best connection when I have both the pod and sensor on my arm. I have tried the location you have for the pod and connection can be patchy.

Hope things go ok

Thanks, will change pod later and relocate to my arm where sensor is. Hopefully that will work and I won’t have to start a new sensor.
I think I prefer the Dexcom but early days and hopefully these are just teething problems !

I've been type 1 for over 50 years, so snap!
I started with a pump a couple of years ago: Omnipod Dash, with Freestyle Libre. Great!
Then moved to Omnipod 5 with Freestyle Libre 2. Great.
In 2024, they moved me onto Dexcom in preparation for the next Omnipod version. Dexcom gave me a skin rash (Dexcom say this is a very common problem, though they haven't fixed it yet.) But I kept on with it because no choice.
Then arrived this next version of Omnipod and I was told to rejoice as I could go back onto Freestyle: now a Libre 2 plus. And after a week I gave up with the Libre 2 Plus and went back to the beastly Dexcom as i could not get the Libre to connect AT ALL, or maybe for a couple of hours. I tried three in the space of six days and then gave up as I couldn't cope with the high blood sugars.
In terms of connectivity, I have never had a problem with one gizmo being on the opposite side to the other: for me, my areas are: between my two under upper arms and on my two upper lower hips (on my bottom but not too low down!). I try to keep them the same side. but with one being a 10-day cycle and one being a 3-day cycle, that's asking a lot!
