I've just started on Dapagliflozin 10mg after coming off Mounjaro. I take it first thing in a morning but I am up all night peeing. 4 times last night. I am someone that when they wake up can't go straight back to sleep so it's really messing with me. Does this wear off after you have been on it for a while or am I stuck with it?

When/if your BG's reduce it will slow down, your bladder will also get used to you being more hydrated. I only had 1 night visit last night, but I'm a woman of a certain age too, and one of the luck ones who can (usually) be back to sleep within a few minutes. Do you east your main meal in the evening? If it's later and contains more carbs than your system can cope with you probably will need the loo more overnight due to how Dapagliflozin works

For your information I have been on dapa for nearly 6 years and I’m having the same issue. I wake up between sleeps on average 3 times a night and as many during the day. I’m used to it now. Not very ideal but the benefits are worth every bit trust me. It rids of the excess sugar in the kidneys and helps the kidneys to function well. It doesn’t bother me anymore so you are not alone

Thank you. That makes complete sense. I will try adjusting my evening meal.
